Teaching in Love

I have been learning a lot lately about how to share my faith with others and how I should stand up for what I believe in. I truly believe that Christians have forgot about teaching in love and instead pick up the protest sign. I'm going to be honest; I am against same-sex marriage because I believe that it would be detrimental to our country but not because the bible says it’s wrong. I do not participate in homosexuality because the bible says that it’s wrong. If someone asked me if I believed that same-sex marriage was right, I would say no. The fact is that people are going to engage in homosexuality whether or not it is legal. I would much rather love them and pour truth into their lives by teaching them God’s word, just like Jesus did then protest for something to not be legal just because of behavior. I’m against same-sex marriage because it would kill our society, not because of the behavior issue. I’m more concerned about the heart level. The heart level is not going to be influenced by protests and harsh debates. The heart level is going to be changed by Christians who teach God’s truth in firm conviction and love. Jesus taught. He told the truth to people, but He loved them. He didn’t worry about what was legal and what wasn’t… He worried about people’s hearts.

Anyways, those are my ramblings of the day.
