I was having an issue this week. A major issue about being mad at God for what He has let me go through in the past (even though it was all my fault and my wrong choices that got me to those points in my life, mind you). I was mad that He let me make those mistakes. Sounds quite ridiculous as I type this out that I was mad at God for letting me make mistakes... but it's true. I was mad.
Jody has been having the leadership team read the new book by Steven Furtick called "Greater" and it's been, for lack of a better word, a great book. It has taught me a lot and I have always gotten something out of each chapter, but I think this quote stole the show for me so far. I made mistakes, yes. But I was faithful to repent and completely turn away from those sins. I was faithful in running to God and not away from Him. He would never waste that. He didn't make a mistake by letting me make mine. I fell so that He could redeem me. I fell so that I could be shown more of His glory. I fell so that I could be completely broken down and have God put me back together again in a new and better way! He never disregarded the hurt and pain my heart would endure. He took care of it all. He heard and answered every single prayer I prayed and fulfilled every promise He made me.
I needed to be reminded of that... and I thought it was too good not to share. :)
