OH hey, another post about Africa!

Okay, here is my more detailed blog as promised earlier! I need to be more creative with my titles... I will do better next time.

I will start with yesterday because I did not get to post anything.
Think.. think... think....

Yesterday I ate my very first African meal. It was really cool to learn about the way that Africans eat their meals. You have one big plate in the middle of the table and you eat out of the "slice" (like a pizza) in front of you. You have a wall, made of food, that is there and you can't break the wall. It was very good. Rice, beef, potatoes, carrots... that kind of stuff. I really liked it a lot and I think that Andrew was very excited that I did because that means we can eat stuff like that more, haha!

We also went to DA (his old school) and I got to meet a lot of people there. One of the women told me that I looked like Scarlett Johansson. Um, I'll take that!! When we got back to the house, I got to spend a lot of time with his mom and then later with his two sisters. I had a blast getting to know them and I also really enjoyed getting to bond with them on a deeper level. I really feel like I'm fitting in quite nicely (I hope they think so too haha) and am having such a good time growing closer to Andrew's family.

Today we went back to the school and I got to watch him play ultimate frisbee. I normally do not like sports, but I love watching Andrew play and the joy he gets when he does. I sure do love that man. I think we're going to watch a movie tonight just chill like we have been, which I do not mind a bit. I know that things will get busier later on. I really look forward to going downtown, going to the beach, and Mrs. Julie told me that I might get the chance to do some outreach ministry while I'm here... maybe even get to go to the village! I'm so excited. This is what I've always wanted to do.

Andrew and I have also learned a lot of very good lessons while we've been here. I think we're beginning to see how we need to handle disagreements much better. We decided that whenever things begin to get tense between the two of us, we need to stop and pray and give our argument over to God so that He can help us figure it out. All in all, the first few days of the trip have been extremely successful.

OOHHH!!!! And we finally got our luggage!!!! I was way too excited. I have been loving having all of my clothes and my toiletries. It was so nice... ahhhh (sigh of relief).

That's about all I can think of for today. Hope you had fun reading about my life, you little creepers. Jk. I love you all :)
